Wormhole1

Wormhole1

Acrylic on 406mm X 305mm Board

Two worms are consumming a black hole to form a wormhole. The centre of the board has been cut out depicting the black hole and it is along this edge that the worms are feasting. The worm droppings turn into stars once they pass the event horizon of the black matt disk. Stars appear as red, blue, white and yellow giants as they begin to spiral away from the worm hole creating a galaxy. Coloured irridencent paint has been used so that the stars shine when light is directed at the painting.
